Admissions: for teachers
A note for teachers
Are you worried about that one kid who is slipping through the cracks at school? We understand what it’s like to be a teacher with many students and limited resources.
At Crane Lake Discovery Camp, we are able to take time with your student. Because many of our students are struggling at school, we first take the time to re-awaken their ability to learn. Our program gives them a strong foundation in learning skills and work habits, which prepares them to tackle their academic challenges. Read more about our education program.
The legal guardian completes the intake process, and works closely with camp throughout their boy’s stay at camp.
Teachers play an important support role. Before intake, you can talk to us to find out if your student would be a good fit for our program. You can advocate for this program with the family and help them through the admissions process. After your student graduates from our program, you can help ease his transition back into the classroom.
Reach out to us if you’d like to find out more.
Role and responsibilities of the legal guardian
The legal guardian is the one who fills out the intake forms.
Throughout the boy’s time at camp, our Family Worker works closely with the legal guardian, monitoring the boy’s progress and preparing for a healthy reintegration back into school and home life.
